Boy band Mania!

That's right Jacin. There's me and my boy JC from NSYNC.

My sister and I harassed him while he was on a date at the Rainforest Cafe. We were on a family trip to Disneyworld. I had just finished a 2 day car ride to Florida in the backseat with the luggage. I smelled, was greasy and thought hey! Perfect time to rub up against that cute boybander. Sweet!

What you don't see is his hand on my ass. Just kidding. I had my hand on his.

Contribute to a Scholarship Fund?

Hi everyone,

My friend Carmen is setting up a scholarship fund for a student he met while teaching in Mozambique through the Peace Corps. The website is here: http://www.thesostrust.com/

I would appreciate it if you glanced through the website, and even if you don't choose to donate, it would be great if you could pass the word along to others who might be interested.

Thanks,
Becka

Cat & Mouse Engineering

Cat and mouse may never be the same.

Japanese scientists say they've used genetic engineering to create mice that show no fear of felines, a development that may shed new light on mammal behavior and the nature of fear itself.

Scientists at Tokyo University say they were able to successfully switch off a mouse's instinct to cower at the smell or presence of cats -- showing that fear is genetically hardwired and not learned through experience, as commonly believed.

In his experiment, the genetically altered mice approached cats, even snuggled up to them and played with them. Kobayakawa said he chose domesticated cats that were docile and thus less likely to pounce.

Wedding Photos

I'm pretty sure I told some of you I'd share wedding pictures with you at some point. It took us almost 6 months, but we finally have them all online. There are way more than you could ever want to see in the Gallery on peteandbecka dot net. Thanks again to everyone who chipped in and took me shopping, and for the dinner at Chaya too -- you guys are awesome!
